The field guide / Instagram Stories
Add trade stickers to Instagram Stories.
Start with one transparent PNG. These illustrated steps explain the real process, not a one-tap keyboard promise.
Checked 8 November 2026. Controls vary by app, account and device.
Step 01
Save the artwork
Download a PNG and save it to your phone’s photo library. Start a Story using a photo or video you own or have permission to publish.

Step 02
Add a photo or Cutout
In the Story editor, open the sticker tray. Choose the photo/gallery sticker to add your saved PNG, or use Cutouts and select the image. In Cutouts, select the subject manually if the automatic result is wrong.

Step 03
Place it properly
Resize and move the sticker away from captions and faces. Preview the Story before you publish. Keep important job details as readable text rather than relying on the sticker.

Before you start
Download the original PNG, not a screenshot. Save it to Photos or your gallery where an app needs photo-library access. Never grant full keyboard access or install an unfamiliar app merely to send an image.
Read the platform’s own help. These are independent guides; Trade Emojis is not affiliated with the apps.
